Even with the Summer heat, Westside’s Garden is still going strong. This week we were able to make another delivery of produce to the Demopolis Food Pantry.

Hip, hip, hooray! School is officially out for the summer! ☀️ We hope you have a safe and happy summer doing all of your favorite things.
If you were not at school to receive your report card, please stop by the front office Monday-Thursday from 8:00-11:00 or 1:00-3:00 to pick yours up. We will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day.


Ice cream will not be sold next week.


Look for a flyer to come home today.


We will celebrate 1st and 2nd graders Thursday and Friday. Please refer to the schedule for your child's day and time.


Extra treats from SchoolFest will be available for purchase Friday.

Extra yearbooks will go on sale starting Monday, May 15th. They are $35. Please send a check or cash in a labeled envelope to your child’s teacher. These will be sold on a first come, first served basis.


This week’s “leader of the week” is Camilla Lane Miller. She is a first grade student in Mrs. Black’s class. Camilla Lane is always participating in class activities and following directions. She works hard and is very helpful. We are proud of leaders like Camilla Lane at WES.


Congratulations, Mrs. McCrory, for being selected Employee of the Year for Westside! Thanks for always going above and beyond to help WES run smoothly each day.


We hope you can join us as we celebrate our pre-k and kindergarten students. We will celebrate 1st and 2nd graders next week. Please refer to dates that were posted earlier.


Second graders visited U.S. Jones today. They are 3rd grade bound!







Dady's Roasted Corn came to visit Westside today. 🌽 Students and faculty sure enjoyed this delicious treat.






Second grade art students had the opportunity to participate in a poster contest associated with the Marengo County Soil & Water Conservation District. The Stewardship theme for this year was "One Water". We are so proud of our Westside students that placed in the contest. Sophie Campbell-1st place, Peyton Wideman- 2nd place, and Aliyah Jeffries- 3rd place. Congratulations!


SchoolFest is this Friday!! Make sure to get your admission fee in by Thursday.
