Demopolis High School is thrilled to announce the hiring of our new Varsity Men's Basketball head coach, Mike Miller. Coach Miller brings a wealth of experience and a winning background to our program. He went to high school at WS Neal where he was a standout player. After graduation, he played Junior College basketball at Coastal AL North and was named Alabama Player of the Year. He went on to play at Murray State where his team made the NCAA tournament and beat Marquette in the first round. His senior year of college, he played at the University of West Alabama.
Coach Miller, along with his wife Bethani and their two sons, Micah (3) and MaKhi (1), are excited to join the Demopolis community. Miller expressed his enthusiasm for the new role: āMy wife and I are grateful to be a part of this outstanding community. It is an honor and privilege to be here at Demopolis High School. Iām so excited to get to meet all the new people and build lifelong relationships. I canāt wait to get in the gym and start the process of building up the team for the winter!ā - Coach Mike Miller
We are confident that Coach Miller's dedication and experience will lead our team to new heights. Welcome to the DHS family, Coach Miller!

Tonight's graduation ceremony will be live streamed for free on the NFHS network. While this event is free to watch, you will need to create a free account in order to view.

Congratulations to our mens golf team on their runner-up finish at the State Golf Tournament in Florence, AL! Join us by the tennis courts at 3:30pm as we welcome them home with their big red map trophy! We are proud of you!

Due to the threat of inclement weather on graduation night, Friday, May 17, the decision has been made to move graduation ceremonies to the day before, Thursday, May 16 @ 7:00 p.m. It is important that students and families experience this memorable event with little disruption to the original program.
The rationale for moving the ceremony comes from two reasons:
If we move the ceremony to the gym, we would have to split the class into two equal sections and have two ceremonies.
If we move the ceremony to the gym, each senior would only receive 4 tickets for family members.
We feel this is the best solution to give the students the ceremony that they have worked so hard to achieve.
Thank you for understanding.
