The DCS Board was able to spread some cheer in the form of pay for additional work our employees do! Superintendent Tony Willis, Central Office staff, and Board Members were able to put smiles on the faces of all DCS employees today!
DCS will release Friday, Dec. 15 for Christmas and New Year’s.
Students will return to campus Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Each school has posted times for dismissal Friday on their website/social media.

USJ: All grades dismiss at 11:30am

Thanksgiving break is here! Demopolis City Schools will be closed the week of November 20-24, 2023. Monday, November 27 is Data Day (Professional Development) for faculty. Demopolis City Schools will host its inaugural DCS 101 class Spring of 2024. This class is meant to give participants an inside look at our education system from PreK to Graduation. This will include but is not limited to information pertaining to curriculum, special education, finance, and facilities. It will consist of three classes that will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm with dinner provided. If you would like to participate, please click on the link and fill out the form. Spaces are limited.

Today, for American Education Week, we honor our Education Support Professionals (ESPs). More than 2.2 million K-12 ESPs work in public schools across the country. As critical members of the education workforce, ESPs meet the needs of the whole student, ensuring students and schools succeed. These positions include clerical services, custodial services, food services, health and student services, paraeducators, security services, skilled trades, technical services, and transportation services.
