Mrs Stevens’ pre-k class explored their 5 senses this week!





During the PBIS Pep Rally, student names were randomly drawn for prizes. These students were students that have done an excellent job of following our 3 school expectations of respect yourself, respect others, and respect our school. Students were so excited for their friends and hope to be the next student recognized for their positive behavior.


A HUGE shoutout goes to our lunchroom staff for working so hard this week during our grandparent breakfast. Not only did they take care of all of our special guests and students each day, but they did it with a smile on their face. 😁


That’s a wrap! Today we concluded our Grandparent Celebration with our 2nd graders. We enjoyed having all of our special guest on campus this week. Thank you for sharing your little leaders with us!



Ms. Galvan’s kindergartners wrapped up their Knowledge Unit on Five Senses today by having a taste test. They decided if they liked or disliked the salty, sweet, sour, and bitter things.





Ms. Miller’s class is learning about the 5 senses this week. Today they did a taste test of salty, sour, sweet, & bitter food.



Mrs. Basinger’s class enjoyed creating new words today with their “magic e” cards!





After learning about our 5 senses, Ms. S. McVay’s class participated in a taste test.





Today is the kickoff for our PTO fundraiser! Students will receive a fundraiser packet to come home today. Please be on the lookout for these in their backpacks. We appreciate your support and appreciate all you do for Westside and our students.

WES celebrated 1st grade grandparents and special guests today. We will conclude our celebrations tomorrow morning with 2nd grade.




The Book Fair is in full swing this week at WES!


Kindergarten students enjoyed visiting with their grandparents today at breakfast. We hope to see our 1st grade guests tomorrow!




Today’s math stations in Mrs. Stewart’s class consisted of math games!


We enjoyed seeing all of our Pre-k grandparents and special guest today. We look forward to having kindergarten guests tomorrow!


Today Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Campbell’s class learned about our sense of sight. They wore blindfolds to try to navigate around their room with only their hands to see if it was easy or hard.





We can’t wait to see our Pre-k guest tomorrow!



Students learned about the Color Wheel and different types of lines in Art class.





Students in Mrs. Basinger’s class met their PBIS Class DoJo points for the week, so they got to participate in Fun Friday stations. Everyone enjoyed working together building, coloring, and playing computer games! #wespbis
