The Alabama State Board of Education has recognized 14 schools and 2 school districts for their strong commitment to Alabama’s K-3 learners, particularly for demonstrating growth in outcome data for proficiency and sufficiency that exceeds the state average. Today, Demopolis City Schools is honored as one of only two districts this year in the state to be named a Science of Reading Spotlight School District.
