
Students in Ms.Hughes' gifted class have been participating in the Stock Market Game. An online simulation of the global capital markets that engages students grades 4-12 in the world of economics, investing and personal finance. One team from her class, Emilee Lewis and Abbie Williams, are currently ranked 1st place in the state .

We will celebrate Read Across America Week next week! Several activities have been planned! Green Eggs and Ham will be served for Breakfast on Thursday! Students can also dress up or wear a hat on Thursday!


Our students did a wonderful job presenting and singing at our Black History Month Program. Our program focused on African American innovators!

The USJ beta club is representing USJ well at the state BETA convention in Montgomery. We already have winners in several competitions and others are competing now!

Our 5th graders had a special visitor today! Lady Liberty came to teach them how to become super citizens and about the Liberty Legacy curriculum they will be studying in their Social Studies class for the next few weeks!
