Demopolis City Schools

Westside Elementary's PreK program held its annual Farm Day today to kick off their Farm Unit. Angie Hales Pony Tales from Meridian has been bringing animals to children for over 25 years, and to Demopolis for the last 4-5 years. This program brings an agricultural educational experience to schools and communities by providing pony rides, a petting zoo, and feeding opportunities. Farming is a significant part of the culture of Marengo County. Bringing these types of experiences to the schools gives students a chance to discover the place where they live.
