Demopolis Middle School students displayed creativity and ingenuity at STEAM education night Monday. The event was held at Lab 212 and showcased projects from the CTE Career Explorations classes as well as the DMS Art classes for parents to view and experience. Eighth graders demonstrated the techniques and machinery used for projects in Jack Gantt's classes while seventh graders showcased motorized engineering creations made in Meggin Mayben's classes. Art teacher Kirk Brooker had student artwork displayed that was created in his beginner and intermediate classes. Exceptional levels of talent were on full display. The students' passion, dedication, and creative thinking demonstrated that the future is indeed in capable hands. The technology and engineering equipment was provided by the Career and Technical Education Middle Grades Innovation Grant received last school year. DMS is so grateful to be able to provide these experiences for Demopolis students.
