Non-Resident Enrollment
Enrollment Information
Congratulations for choosing the Demopolis City School System for your child’s education. Your choice is one that will have a positive impact on your child’s life and can open countless doors of opportunity. In the Demopolis City School System, it is important that the school, parent, and student work as a team. This teamwork is imperative to maximize success in a student’s school experiences.
Demopolis Residents
If you live in Demopolis and are registering for school for the first time in our system, you will need to complete the 20-21 Enrollment Application. Make sure it is complete and the information is accurate. With this completed form, you will need to provide two (2) proofs of residency and a copy of the child’s legal guardian’s identification. The address on the identification will need to match the addresses on the proofs of residency. Examples of proofs of residency include utility bills, lease agreements, or mortgage statements (we are not interested in your payment, only your address).
Non-Demopolis Residents
If you do not live in Demopolis and are registering for the first time in our system, you will need to complete a Non-Resident Application Form. Make sure it is complete and the information is accurate. With this completed form, you also will need to provide two (2) proofs of residency and a copy of the child’s legal guardian’s identification. The address on the identification will need to match the addresses on the proofs of residency. Examples of proofs of residency include utility bills, lease agreements, or mortgage statements (we are not interest in your payment, only your address). Non-resident students entering the Demopolis City School System for the first time will also need to include a transcript/grades from the previous school, with the exception of Kindergarten students entering school for the first time. Students will be conditionally accepted pending the review of grades and the application. The Demopolis City School System charges a $50.00 fee for non-resident applications and only accepts non-resident students in grade-levels and programs where space is available.
